Thank you to everyone who stopped by today at ROC Game Fest to try out Darkrise! We're proud so many people enjoyed our game in its current state!
Like most playtests, new bugs always crop up when you least expect them, and today was no different. We plan to squash these new bugs as soon as possible. Below is a list of these bugs as well as some workarounds so you can continue playing.
- Players lose control over the game when hitting 'Restart' upon 'Game Over.'
- Closing and reopening the game will give you back control.
- When hiding or leaving a bright room area, the timer for taking damage doesn't reset.
- Players can't use the control stick to navigate the 'Yes/No' popup that appears when pausing in-game.
- Using your controller's directional pad will work for these menus.
- The second bright room area sometimes appears solved upon entering for the first time.
- We suspect this might have something to do with the mirror plates in the prior room, but we aren't quite sure on that.
- Players can get stuck on top of Soldiers and are unable to jump off of them in certain areas.
- Pausing the game and using 'Load Checkpoint' can get you out of these softlocks.
We'll make another post when we solve most of these issues.
